To schedule:

The applicant who is requesting accommodations must contact the Special Needs Coordinator at Stevens and not the admissions office to obtain these services.
Testing is scheduled only after the applicant has a received a letter that states documentation has been received and reviewed. Please allow two weeks for the review process.

Applicants must submit their application and application fee prior to scheduling the test.

Applicants are permitted two opportunities to test, with approximately one month between each testing to allow for tutoring.

The accommodations available are extended time, auditory presentation, distraction free environment, and use of a calculator. These are the same type of accommodations that the applicant may expect once enrolled in the college. Applicants with special needs must meet the same admissions standards, and the same academic criteria for graduation as all other students.

If an applicant does not meet the minimum standards he or she may be accepted on a conditional basis. That is the applicant may need to take a developmental program of study, attend the summer program, or take a remedial course to develop their skills in an academic area. Further, applicants may be required to participate in study skills or tutoring as a part of their conditional acceptance.
