Lead Instructor
Responsibilities include classroom and laboratory instruction, record keeping, grade reporting to agencies and grant holder as required by grant. Lead instructor will maintain all necessary certifications to teach all current and future offerings and successfully complete any additional certification trainings required.  Evaluate and plan strategies to continually improve courses, curriculum and instructional facility.

 

Instructor should be cross-certified or working on weatherization certification and will teach the following courses:

  • Weatherization Tactics
  • D.O.E. Lead Safe Weatherization
  • Diagnostics Approaches to Weatherization
  • Advanced Diagnostics
  • Introduction to Heating
  • Combustion Analysis and Retrofit – Gas
  • Combustion Analysis and Retrofit – Oil
  • Home Energy Auditing 

 

Any BPI or EPA teaching certifications are beneficial but not required.

Contract position from:  August 2010, through July 2011.  Grant and position may be extended through October 2011, with a possibility after that period of continued funding.

Pay Rate:  $30 per hour

Sustainable Energy Program
Instructional/Lecturer Positions for Series of Experiential  Green CoursesStevens College of Technology is accepting applications for Instructional/Lecturer positions for a series of courses providing Experiential Application of Energy Efficiency in both existing and new building construction; leading to more energy efficient and lower cost operations of structures and facilities.

The courses will provide participants with the background, skill, and knowledge to review, assess, implement, audit, optimize, and operate energy efficiency and alternative energy systems within a wide range of facility types. With emphasis placed on integration of these systems into basic building functions and construction management, the participants will acquire the expertise to coordinate and work effectively with architects, engineers, planners, and contractors on the installation and operation of the energy systems and to promote those skills in the construction trades job marketplace.
